About Sinéad

Since childhood I have been involved in a variety of sports activities including competitive swimming, athletics, gaelic football, soccer and basketball. Following years of travelling the world as a flight attendant, I found that flying took its toll on my health and decided to return to Ireland and retrain in an area that I have always been passionate about; Health and Fitness.

I hold a National Qualification in Exercise, Health Studies and Personal training from the National Training Centre and specialised in Pilates training and achieved the Advanced Diploma in Pilates Matwork.

I have been teaching Pilates in Dublin 15 since January 2015 and I am a member of Laya Wellness’ Panel of Experts.

ABOUT PILATES

If practiced with consistency, Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the whole human body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong powerhouse, and improving coordination and balance.

Pilates’ system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginner to advanced or to any other level, and also in terms of the instructor and practitioner’s specific goals and/or limitations. Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises.
